Event Display Stamper Application

Stampin' Up! is offering demonstrators the opportunity to stamp projects for event display boards. To apply two 3-D objects, three card fronts and one scrapbooking page have to be created and posted. I was very excited when Stampin' Up! had chosen me as a display stamper for convention last year and I had a blast creating. I very much enjoy these contests, so I am in for the challenge this year again!

Cuckoo Clock      3-D item #1

This project was a very fun project. I had that idea for quite a while and I am glad I finally was able to put it together. It turned out so real that it is hard to believe that it is entirely made out of card stock. And the best part is, it has a functioning clockwork so it tells you the exact time just like an authentic cuckoo clock.

Papaya Collage Card      card #1

The Open Sea Card      card #2

I wanted to make sure the background stamp is not too overpowering for this card and the focal point remains the porthole. So I transferred ink onto only a limited area of the stamp using a sponge. Then I placed the card stock on the stamp and ever so slightly rubbed over it. Love how it turned out.

Sisters      scrapbook page

I really love how this scrapbook page turned out. The Bermuda Bay matting of the photo is so bright that it draws the focus to the picture. Those super cute Hung Up Clips only come in silver, a color that didn’t really fit into my picture. So I heat embossed the clip with Stampin' Emboss Powder Gold. Perfect!

Spiral Flower Heart On Canvas      3-D item #2

For this project I added some Pool Party ink to white acrylic paint and painted the canvas with it. I was going for a streaky look to create more depth and interest. So after the canvas was completely covered with acrylic paint I added some more Pool Party ink in certain areas as long as the paint was still wet. Then I used my Flowering Flourishes stamp set to stamp my background image on the canvas. To stamp on the canvas I did not attach my stamp to the clear block. I just inked it up and positioned it on the canvas. I wanted to have a very subtle background so I very gently rubbed over the stamp and the ink transfers onto the canvas.

Card Stock: Real Red
Stamps: Flowering Flourishes
Ink / Marker: Pool Party
