Who Says That's All The Fox Can Say?

I hope you aren't getting tired of that stamp set because I am sure having fun with it. And who say the fox can only say one phrase? Once I discovered how simple it was to create my own sentiments with MDS the stamp sets all of a sudden become so much more versatile and I was on a roll.

What Does The Fox Say?

The title to this blog post could just as well have been "MDS To The Rescue". There wasn't the sentiment I needed in any of the current catalogs so I just opened up my MDS, typed in the phrase and created a speech bubble with punches that fits perfectly around it. So easy! Send it to my e-cutter, done. And here is the result:

colourQ challenge #228… and SUO Challenge #90

ColorQ is hosting a really fun challenge this week. I fell in love with the color combination at first sight. So I started playing with some of the product from the Occasions Mini and this is the result. As it turns out it also fits the theme on SUO Challenges which is Punch Parade. I really like how it turned out. Thanks for looking.

"YOU MAKE ME HAPPY ...

… WHEN SKIES ARE GRAY" seemed to be the perfect stamp for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge HSS Sketch #178. When I saw the sketch I immediately could envision the card and everything fell into place. Love when that happens. So here is my interpretation of the sketch:

To make the sun I punched out a circle from Summer Starfruit card stock and attached little pieces of ribbon on the back. Then I cut into the ribbon lengthwise to give it the frazzled look. For the cloud I punched out some Smoky Slate and Basic Gray card stock with the cupcake builder punch and embossed it with the Decorative Dots TIEF from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The raindrops are the flame of the candle in the "Create A Cupcake" stamp set. To make them pop a little more I embellished them with some Crystal Effects.

Paper Players Challenge #182

Hello there! Paper Players has a really fun challenge this week: Midnight Muse, Crisp Cantaloupe and Gold! What a great color combination. So elegant. I had a lot of fun playing along.

Card Stock:      Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Midnight Muse, Champagne Glimmer Paper
Stamps:           Flowering Flourishes, Express Yourself
Ink / Marker:     StazOn, Midnight Muse
Accessories:   Stampin' Emboss Powder Gold, 1/2" inch Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Pearl Basic Jewels, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Petit Petals Punch

This card is so elegant that I definitely wanted a bow on it. And I was going for the scrunchy look. To achieve that I took some Very Vanilla Seam Binding and inked it with my Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad. I love that you can  just dye the ribbon to match the colors on your card.

Hello Letters

Another Valentine's card today. And the Hexagon punch makes it so easy to put together. Hexagon punch??????? Yes, that is correct.

For each little envelope I punched out a hexagon, scored it from corner to corner on my Simply Scored Scoring Tool and folded the top part down and the bottom part up. As easy as that.

Love Notes for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I have had a lot of fun coming up with various Valentine's projects. When I saw the Sweetheart Treat Bags I knew right away they would be awesome for lots of very cute projects. For this envelope I sliced two bags open on the side and glued them together to one bigger one. Why you may ask? Because this is the envelope card box for my 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 note cards.

And this is what's in the envelope:

For this card I stamped the red note twice. The first one I cut out and attached it to the card with a dimensional. To turn around the sentiment I punched out the round bottom part of the note from my second image using a 3/4 inch circle punch and glued it on top of the note on the card.

For this note card I used the Circles Collection Framelit Dies to cut an opening in the top layer and covered it with a Window Sheet on the back. Then I added a shaker frame and filled it with some Silver Glass Glitter. Glue it to the note card - done.

Card Stock:      Whisper White, Silver and Red Glimmer Paper
Stamps:           Love You To The Moon, Music Notes Wheel
Ink / Marker:     Real Red, Black StazOn
Accessories:    3/4 inch Circle Punch, Silver Glass Glitter, Window Sheet, Sweetheart Treat Bags, Heart Punch, Adorning Accents Edgelits Die, Owl Builder Punch

I think this bundle makes a very cute little gift. I hope this post inspires you to come up with some more great Valentine's projects.

Banner Blast Birthday

The Banner Blast stamp set comes with a matching punch and can be earned for FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration. Awesome!!!!!!

To achieve the jeans look on the pocket I cut the shape from Pacific Point card stock. Then I took the Island Indigo ink pad and and dabbed it repeatedly over the card stock. To complete the look I took the white gel pen for the faux stitching around the edges.

The little banners were stamped on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the coordinating punch. I attached the banners to toothpicks to stick them in the pocket.

Card Stock:      Whisper White, Real Red, Pacific Point

Stamps:           Banner Blast, Express Yourself
Ink / Marker:     Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Island Indigo, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories:    Banner Punch, Chevron Embossing Folder
